I love the Thera pearl neck wrap , it has helped with muscle pain in my neck and an injury in my husbands neck he used it warm to ease the pain , it fits well and keeps cool or warm for a good 20 mins , helps with hot flushes to and I wore it while ironing and hoovering on a really hot day , I was as cool as a cucumber and my shoulder muscle didn’t ache so bad after cleaning etc , would recommend it very much , well worth it .

I dont normally like neck snakes – I find that I have to hunch to hold them in place. This sits very well around neck without effort. Only reason for 4 stars is that the heat does not stay for long and have to re-heat constantly.

Pain in the neck – mixed reviews, 28 April 2016

I bought this primarily for neck ache but have found this item to be as much of a pain to use!

My first attempt of heating it in the microwave was not a success. I spread the wrap out but it overlapped the glass tray (9inch diameter) and prevented it from turning properly. It ended up having cold sections.

The second time, I turned the end sections over (at the point they fold over naturally) so as to fit on the glass tray.
I warmed the wrap in the microwave for the recommended time of 60 seconds. After 40 seconds I did it in two short 10 second bursts to avoid the risk of it overheating and ‘exploding’. This time it appeared to work okay.

I checked it was not too hot before placing on my neck. The wrap has seams on both edges of it. These edges are flat and I felt the plastic dig in, in places.

The heat was comforting but for me the edges were too uncomfortable. It also felt heavier than I was expecting.

I thought the product would cover the back of my neck (where a scarf would sit) but when doing this, the front section does not ‘hang’ correctly and just digs into the front of your neck or throat.
You have to place it on the top of your shoulders, which means it just about reaches the base of your neck.

I will try it again when my shoulder aches but I think its use is limited in my instance. I think it is quite expensive for what it is. I would not buy it again.
