Bought this and returned it. It was a lot thicker than I thought it would be. Also, it’s very rigid. It’s more like styrofoam than memory cushion. I’m surprised this is rated so high. Seems cheaply made to me.

went flat after 2 hours, fell apart after 2 days, January 16, 2016

For the first 2 hours, the cushion I got held its shape nicely and is very comfortable, but after a couple hours had passed, the cushion as a bit flattened. After a couple days, the cushion was completely flattened, and the strap came off one side at the seam, so I would not really expect the strap to stay in place for very long, It is possible I got a bad one, but considering that it is just a foam inside and cheap fabric outside, I could not think it would actually last for very long. if it was a foam coating over something rigid, like maybe plastic core, or stiff rubber core, then the foam flattening would not affect the result. but since its just a piece of foam in a cover,… also, as I said the strap came off the cover at the seam because they didn’t double stitch or do anything to prevent it from coming out, so if you don’t have one that goes flat on you, then I recommend getting a needle and thread and sewing it yourself at the point where the strap anchor is sewn into the cushion cover. I would have taken pictures, but I already packed it up to return mine to amazon. if you haven’t bought one of these yet, I recommend getting one that is fulfilled by amazon so that if you need to return it, you can get free return shipping from amazon. I give it 2 stars because it is a nice concept, and might possibly be fixed if a person wants to work on something they buy to make it fully functional. I also would like to point out that it seems all the other reviews seem to be good, so I might have just gotten a bad one.

Props body more forward than other cushions, which is good, November 5, 2016

Desperately bought several different lumbar cushions for comparison to alleviate severe lower back pain. Tried this one because other Amazon users rated it so highly, and it was less expensive than others. I must agree it meets expectations. Its best feature is that it’s thicker than other cushions, so it pushes your body more forward than other cushions. It’s not as cushy and doesn’t “give” as much as other cushions, even when you use it for long periods of time. This is good, not bad, since it keeps your posture better and doesn’t let you slouch. I find the shape of this cushion is also superior to other cushions, since it seems to make “contact” with your spine/back only at one point, permitting your back to “breathe” better and not retain heat as much as other cushions. When you first try it, it might feel awkward to be pushed into such a forward posture, but the longer you sit there and try it, the more correct it feels. I can sit with this cushion much longer than others because it breathes better and doesn’t “heat up”. Comes with nice plastic carrying tote bag, so you can inconspicuously bring it back & forth to work, and with you into restaurants. Drawback is it’s thicker, and there’s not enough room to use this in the car.
