This is a very good quality lumbar support. The materials are thick and heavy duty, and the elastic has some stretch, but not so much that it loses support. I have had a medical grade shoulder support in the past (from a doctor) and the construction of this support is exactly the same, if not better.

The sizing seems a bit small, so order up. I got a size XL, and it does not have as much “extra room” as I would have expected. (It fits fine though.) So you’ll definitely want to go up a size from what you think you would be. This is, I’m guessing, common with lumbar belts though, because I ordered a cheaper version from a different company for my son, and it also ran quite small.

This support is easy to put on, and typical of other lumbar supports. You simply velcro it snugly around the waist, and then take the side “wings” and pull them snug, which tightens up the back part of the brace. The velcro is nice and tight and seems like it will hold up very well. It is made of a material that has some stretch to it, but not too much, because too much stretch would minimize the ability of the support to brace the back.

Speaking of my son–he likes to mow lawns for extra money, but earlier in the summer he pulled something in his lower back and it took several weeks for it to heal. After it healed, I ordered him a cheap lumbar support from a different seller to wear for future yard work. He only wore it one day, and felt it was too snug and stiff and did not allow him to work comfortably. So I had him try this one, and he reports that it is much more comfortable than the other one, and did well for him while he did yard work. It allowed him a little more movement while still supporting his back. So I am encouraged that he may be more willing to actually wear this back brace in the future, thus avoiding future injuries.

I wore the support as well, and found it to be nice and supportive. It isn’t super stiff to where you cannot move around or bend, but you can feel that it gently supports your lower back. I currently do not have lower back pain, although I have had it in the past when I was working in the food industry, and this feels like it would be very helpful for lower back pain. (I wish I had had this back then!!!)

I was graciously allowed to try this item in exchange for an honest review. I am very impressed with the customer service and communication by this company. The shipping is also very prompt.

I would highly recommend this support as well as the company.

Am sure it’s great but have no idea how to use it!

Ok so I ordered this presuming that it would come with some kind of instructions but apparently not!
So unfortunately some years ago I fractured my spine and although lucky and still have full use of my body it does cause me a lot of pain on a daily basis. Like all parents I have no choice but to work and so my husband suggested trying one of these Lumbar supports.
We have messed around with it and tried to fit it as we feel it should be but unfortunately was hit with a warning on wearing it incorrectly and so frankly am too frightened to wear it at all. I have to say though in complete honesty, when my partner fitted it for me as he thought it should fit. The support is great, it works to relieve the pain by supporting my back and kind of forcing it into the natural position my back should be.
The reasons above reflect the reason for 3 stars, I have full confidence that it would work properly I just feel that I can’t give 5 stars when I can’t use it through fear of fitting incorrectly and doing more damage than good.

I should say though also that this Lumbar support is very strong, well stitched and hides well under my clothes, I can see me getting the right advice and wearing this under my clothes without being conscious of anyone knowing it is there.
On this basis am happy to recommend this product to someone who either 1, knows how to use it or 2, can find advice that makes them confident to use it!

I ordered this item as recently I have been having a lot of pain after working at the house on DIY projects. I wanted to see if wearing this whilst I am working would decrease the pain in my pack when I went to bed, which is when it hurts most.

The item arrived in good time and was well packaged. Upon inspection it seems to be of a good quality. The stitching is tight and the material seems to be of a good thick quality.

I tried it on and was able to get it very tight around my waist by doing it up in two seperate stages (outer and inner). I was fitting a bathroom and was working solid for 10 hours, which usually would have killed me when I got into bed. I took it off and had a shower and got into bed and to my surprise there was a very small amount of pain. It seemed to have done very well in stopping my back pain.

I think it is essential to get it very tight to optimise performance. The velcro is very strong so tightening it is easy as it holds well.

Overall I am very happy with this item. It helped to almost iliminate my pain when doing DIY. I would definitely buy again, and would recommend to anyone who suffers from lower back problems.
